If there is a sample in or from an extended version, we need to show the extended version of course. But for all other purposes it makes sense to stick to the most well known single or album version.

It would also be useful in case a sample is derived from a part of the extended version that isn't in the radio edit.

Would it not be an idea to use extended versions as the original? The reason i say that is that in my mind that would be like a director's cut, whereas generally speaking the radio played single would be a cut down version of that. I tend to aim for extended originals for sources rather than radio edit, when it's available.

Well said @tick - please don't add extended versions unless they add something significant and interesting to the original track. No need to add it if it's just a longer edit.
