Although,I am a greek, I have never heard before the original song of this Rock band. I wonder how Kanye West found this song, which even in 1976, was not mainsrteam at all. Amazing song and a really good sample. Kanye's beat fits perfectly to the rock song's drum line. |

I think he just pitched it up a bit and looped it. you can still here the snare roll from the original song every time the riff gets looped |

@cross_fader: the guitar is panned to the right and the drums are to the left. when sampling, you can dissect the two stereo channels, thus getting rid of the drums and simply keeping the riff. |

How does he get rid of the background sounds like the instruments from the original song |

Agreed, the riff at the beginning sounds more like it. I changed the timing to 0:00 |

Sample actually starts at the very beginning... |

It sounds like he chopped it, sped it up a bit, and maybe lowered the pitch, then added some of his own drums over it. |

my thing is how do he sample it. do he use the actual sample and switch up the pitch. or does he use his own drum kit and match up the sound. |

Yeah, it's in the beginning... 1:04 sounds like it, too, though. |

I think it starts at the beginning as opposed to 1:04. |
