Although,I am a greek, I have never heard before the original song of this Rock band. I wonder how Kanye West found this song, which even in 1976, was not mainsrteam at all. Amazing song and a really good sample. Kanye's beat fits perfectly to the rock song's drum line.

the guitar is panned to the right and the drums are to the left. when sampling, you can dissect the two stereo channels, thus getting rid of the drums and simply keeping the riff.
