First, the admins have a right to check and delete our comments because they run the site. Second, it says "Replayed Sample (Interpolation)" which means that MJ had his band replay the bassline. It's too similar to be a coincidence. Maybe MJ heard the song and had the bassline stuck in his head. It happens with musicians all the time where replay songs without even realizing it. Finally, yelling and cursing about something like this just makes you look foolish. You're not scaring or impressing anyone here and it doesn't help anything at all.

Hmmmm also posted a similar interpolation complaint regarding MJ's interpolation of Shalamar's Take That to the Bank. I take your point, King Rizlaa, we're here to discuss, not argue. To Hmmm: If you would like to talk to the Whosampled team directly, you can also use the "Report missing or wrong information" link below the Wikipedia link, instead of making profanity-laced comments.

But you bring up an interesting point about interpolations. An artist who interpolates will not always have to pay royalties. Take the Chemical Brothers track "Let Forever Be", which has pretty much just cut up the The Beatles track "Tomorrow Never Knows". There was a law suit regarding the matter of uncleared samples, but it was deemed that the Chemical Brothers had created an entire new track and no royalties were awarded to The Beatles.

Boss man, we need not people like you. We are here to discuss, not argue. Chill :)

when i first heard this song from MJ it also reminded me to the song bad mama jamma, but i never said it has sumtin to do with that song. try to put carl's vocal on it, "it will not fit" when a artist interpolate then he must register and maybe even pay, the copyright. i dont think MJ had to to sumtin like that for his song.

An interpolation is still a sample.
