No no, the sample is The Impressions - People Get REady!

@Xanadu: Sure, I believe the correct sample in John Mayer's "Waiting On The World To Change" is "We're A Winner" by The Impressions. The sample in the JM track appears at 0:10 and in The Impressions track at 0:09. Let me know what you think.

I thought moderators were always direct submitters...

@Bboom Bap: Do you mind sharing telling what you believe is the right song you've submitted, so we can check it out?

@Bboom Bap: care to spill the beans so we can make a decision in this discussion, since you're no direct submitter yet (even though we gave that queue a good dent we still would have to wait 30 days to see your submission ^^)

hmm interesting... they do have a same feel... but that's like saying Muse's Map Of The Problematique is based on Depeche Mode Enjoy The Silence... it's def. inspired by it (Bellamy even confirmed it), but saying it's a sample would probably be a step too far. Mentioned this a few times before, but 'likeliness' and 'being sampled' can be a VERY thin line. The three facebooklikes make me think people do agree with this one though... So sorry but no straight yes or no from me :)

Wassup, wassup? I submitted what I believe is the correct sample for the John Mayer track.

Knowing both tracks well, but I never linked them as such. There are many, many songs that sound alike and there are many, many YT vids built up around his theme. Tom Petty vs Red Hot Chili Peppers coming to my mind right now, BUT in most cases not intentional I think, so...

Not exactly the same, I am uncertain about this sample. Please discuss.
