No, cover versions are not listed as replayed samples / interpolations, they're listed as cover versions. Artists re-recording their own songs are not categorised as cover versions however, merely alternate versions and are not something that we currently list.

Replayed samples / interpolations can be of musical content or lyrics provided they are substantial, distinct and intentional.

Then, when Artist B covers a song of Artist A, that's a "replayed sample?" Or, when an artist re-records one of their own songs as a live or acoustic version, that's a "replayed sample?" Where does it end? I don't see why it's considered a "sample" at any rate if they just happen to use the same words in two different songs. Catchphrase, maybe. MHO. At any rate, thanks for the explanation. -RR

A replayed sample, as opposed to a direct sample, is when the sampling track does not use a portion of the actual source recording, but reproduces it in some way (this is also often called "interpolation").

I don't think it's a sample. I think he's basically repeating words he used in a song he released previously.
