Im going to chalk it up too some great filtering.

Well unless there's another part of the Bastion soundtrack where it plays without the hi-hat, I think it's most plausible that it's been replayed

Izeytope96 said on Sunday, 28 April 2013:
Honestly I don't even see why this even arguable. The synth is EXACTLY the same. The pitch is not even changed. And I take back what I said earlier about Delay and Reverb. It doesnt even sound like Dave Free applied any substantial effects to the sample.

MRDR said on Sunday, 28 April 2013:
That synth would be fairly easy to recreate

Izeytope96 said on Sunday, 28 April 2013:
Its definitely not replayed. The synth sounds identical. The only effects it sounds like Dave Free really put on the sample is some extra reverb and a delay. Im very curious as to how he managed to completely filter out the hi hats while keeping the rest of the synth intact.

I think it could be replayed

how the hell did Dave Free eliminate the hi hats from the sample?
