This is interesting. Hippy, Skippy, Moon Strut (1969) is widely credited as the source for this track but there are reports of legal action from the owners of the Latin Blues Band catalogue over the sample that FAR is referring to. Hippy, Skippy, Moon Strut borrows from the Moon People's own 'Happy Soul' (1968) it seems. The Latin Blues band track was also released in 1968. Does anybody know more about the chronology of these? |
