    First, it is listed as an interpolation. Second, while it may be true that Babe Ruth interpolated Morricone's score (I don't know for sure, you can direct us to the info), what is important is the intent of the sampling artist. Most likely, Bambaataa's intent was to interpolate The Mexican as it was a popular breakdancing song in the early days of hip-hop and other hip-hop songs have sampled/interpolated it.

    This is wrong. First off, it's more like an interpolation, and second, it's originally from the theme for the movie 'For A Few Dollars More,' which was done by Ennio Morricone.
