The same Bong band drum loop is sampled by industrial band Final Cut on 1992's "A Dance for the Saints". http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yipifHnHMkQ
Are you sure for this one ? I don't hear the bongos. Maybe it's replayed ? Or they sampled just hi-hats and snare drum ? Anyway, there is no mention in the liner notes.
am i the only one who hears the drums to daft punk's oh yeah playing towards the end of angel?
A "X and Y use the same sample, but I don't really know what, help me out" submission type would be nice: it would encourage brainstorming and cooperation that are virtually absent currently.
Yeah thanks Spy - I didn't think the original would have been Leftfield but submitted it anyway in the hope that someone would know the original. The shameful thing is that I own the record and wasn't aware of this one...
Thanks spy in the cab, this has now been updated!
I think the sample is coming from Incredible Bongo Band - Last Bongo in Belgium.Besides, the sample used in the Leftfield song was also used in a Beastie Boys song called "Looking down the barrel of a gun" (1989).
Daft Punk's Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger sample of Edwin Birdsong's Cola Bottle Baby
Pretty Lights's Finally Moving sample of Etta James's Something's Got a Hold on Me
Baauer's Harlem Shake sample of Philadelphyinz's Philadelphyinz Moombahton Loops and Samples
Skrillex's First of the Year (Equinox) sample of Ebaum's Crazy Screaming Lady in Parking Lot
Daft Punk's Aerodynamic sample of Sister Sledge's Il Macquillage Lady
