I agree with Lee, just look at the immediate opening of Bellisima (12" versions) by DJ Quicksilver, also 1997. It could quite easilly have been taken from that, albeit highly filtered and timestretched.
i also dont think this is an interpolation, as stated, it is a very common effect to use in dance music. I can think of lots of tracks that use the same technique, Jones & Stephenson - The First Rebirth, Joy Kitikonti - Joyenergizer and so on but its not worth submitting them because it is so common.
Burnin' is a house song though.
I mean, is not a sampling to daft punk's burning, is a very common riff in techno and trance.
Sample Type: Replayed Sample (Interpolation)READ
IMHO I don't think is a direct sample, just a remake.
Baauer's Harlem Shake sample of Plastic Little's Miller Time
Daft Punk's Face to Face sample of Electric Light Orchestra's Evil Woman
Daft Punk's Da Funk sample of Barry White's I'm Gonna Love You Just a Little More Baby
Stardust's Music Sounds Better With You sample of Chaka Khan's Fate
Pretty Lights's Finally Moving sample of Judy Clay and William Bell's Private Number
