I agree with Lee, just look at the immediate opening of Bellisima (12" versions) by DJ Quicksilver, also 1997. It could quite easilly have been taken from that, albeit highly filtered and timestretched.
i also dont think this is an interpolation, as stated, it is a very common effect to use in dance music. I can think of lots of tracks that use the same technique, Jones & Stephenson - The First Rebirth, Joy Kitikonti - Joyenergizer and so on but its not worth submitting them because it is so common.
Burnin' is a house song though.
I mean, is not a sampling to daft punk's burning, is a very common riff in techno and trance.
Sample Type: Replayed Sample (Interpolation)READ
IMHO I don't think is a direct sample, just a remake.
Daft Punk's Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger sample of Edwin Birdsong's Cola Bottle Baby
Daft Punk's Robot Rock sample of Breakwater's Release the Beast
Pretty Lights's Finally Moving sample of Etta James's Something's Got a Hold on Me
Daft Punk's Face to Face sample of Electric Light Orchestra's Evil Woman
Duck Sauce's Barbra Streisand sample of Boney M.'s Gotta Go Home
