Outkast reference sample gone?
They should get a more complex system of labeling samples on this site for songs that sample a song in more then 1 way. This sample is a perfect example of a song being sampled in more then way 1 way.
Whenever more than one part is sampled/replayed (like here: fx/other & vocals) it gets classified as "whole track". Technically that's not correct, but it's better than saying it's just sampling "vocals" or "other" :-).
But it wasn't the whole track. It's really just the lazery sounds and vocals he sampled.
This should be labeled as a direct sample of the whole track. Skrillex basically remade his own beat and just added extra drums.
Drake's 0 to 100 / the Catch Up sample of Adam Feeney and Chester Stone Hansen's Vibez
Kanye West feat. Frank Ocean's New Slaves sample of Omega's Gyöngyhajú Lány
A$AP Rocky's Peso sample of The S.O.S. Band's No One's Gonna Love You
Wu-Tang Clan's C.R.E.A.M. sample of The Charmels's As Long as I've Got You
Pete Rock & C.L. Smooth's They Reminisce Over You (T.R.O.Y.) sample of Tom Scott and The California Dreamers's Today
