This is not a replay. It doesn't sound like it at all. You can still hear the guitar beneath the strings in the Britney Spears track. Apparently they were not able to fully EQ the guitar out off that sampled riff.

I think it's obvious why they decided to credit the Bollywood strings to session musicians. I personally wouldn't rely too much on what the credits say, but rather trust my own ears.

@Chinny / @BroughtTheNoise - Just to clarify, the 'Hot Samples' list on the home page is not something we curate or decide the content of. It's based purely on what pages have been most visited in the last 24hours. 'The audience decides' in effect.

This isn't a criticism of the site, I'm not really bothered what submissions are considered 'popular' or not- but I do think the submissions on the main page should be varied and others showcased from time to time. I know submissions stay there based on how many votes they've had, but it's not surprising they've had so many votes when they are on the main page and therefore easily accessible.

I think this is actually a replay. If you read the credits, there was no sample noted but the "Bollywood" strings were played by session musicians. My guess is the producers had originally chopped the sample and then had it replayed to avoid having to clear it.

I've listened to these side by side a thousand times at least, and I know i'm late to join the crowd when it comes to this, but I really have to say WOW. This is an amazing sample.

In fact, this is a plain amazing song. Easily one of the best pop tunes of the 00's, if not ever. Wonderful.

There's a great YouTube clip that shows how this sample was done: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uqiF3IBoMNk
Yes, it's Britney Spears but this is an amazing sample. Bloodshy & Avant who produced this did an incredible job.
