Hip Hop Of Your Country

Good thread. My country isn't that big on hip hop in terms of acts but I'll post what I can find.

I'm from St. Vincent and the Grenadines (in the Caribbean) where the main type of music is soca and dancehall (reggae). Hip Hop is just as popular but when it comes to acts they either don't get no shine or there's so few of them.

Our biggest talents are Kevin Lyttle (Turn Me On). Marlon Roudette from Mattafix is a Vincentian too so we check him as ours even though he was born in England. None of these guys are hip hop though.

This local crew did something over Rick Ross' Hustlin instrumental.

Here' they are again with Til The End (Banks' instrumental)

There's a few in Belgium, I'll leave them to the people who know more about them (Lunaman, ABN, 't Hof van Commerce). But the one I really like is this one (any samples can be added, I have no idea - I think the guitar was used by Beastie Boys too):

Anyway, Holland (sorry The Netherlands) does it a lot better when we're talking about HipHop (De Jeugd Van Tegenwoordig, Osdorp Posse, ...)

And yes: great idea for a topic!

Just look under the Dutch Hip Hop tag to see a selection of Dutch hip hop tracks.

Here's a list of few other popular acts:

here’s another Greek songs (the one without raps but scratching :-D, for some reason I love it, might be because I love the sample that is used on that beat^^ :-D). It is from a hip hop crew from Kalamata (Greek city in the south).

I have to check whether those songs were released commercially (I doubt it though), because I would love to submit this as sample :-D

and here’s a German song, from Afrob, a rapper from Stuttgart:
