Bits of the songs I posted below are all present in "Revolution 9", apparently. These are all taken from Wikipedia, so I can't verify them completely. |

I don't understand your list. Those songs were sampled or sample something. And how do you have the songs and not the songs they sample or were sampled in? |

stationary unit said on Wednesday, 29 February 2012:
A lot of the classical music samples have been found. Some of the vocal samples were just outtakes from the studio that were never commercially released, and therefore can't be submitted. Here's an incomplete list: Vaughan Williams - "O Clap Your Hands" Jean Sibelius - "Symphony No. 7" Robert Schumann - "Symphonic Studies" Ludwig van Beethoven - "Choral Fantasy" Traditional Folk - "The Streets of Cairo" The Beatles - "A Day in the Life" The Beatles - "Revolution 1" An Elektra Records sound effects album George Martin saying "Geoff, put the red light on". An EMI sound engineer saying "This is EMI test series #9". Yoko Ono talking. John Lennon and George Harrison talking. American football chants. Anybody, feel free to submit them. Perhaps MrBlond could help, as he's added a lot of Beatles samples lately. Also, I'm having a hard time detecting some of the classical bits. |

Wasn't "Revolution 9" just a bunch of random samples? How has nobody found any of those yet? |

Finding audio/video sources is a stumbling block, I know I've got a fair few Beatles covers on vinyl that aren't online. |

According to BBC, just Yesterday has been covered by more than 2200 different artists :) WS has 1425 total :D When will be the day when we have submitted all of the Beatles covers? :D |

I think some people may want to have a look at this list: http://www.discogs.com/label/The+Beatles+Complete+On+Ukulele An online project by Roger Greenawalt and David Barratt, they hope to: a) Record & perform on ukulele all 185 original compositions by The Beatles with 185 guest artists. b) Write essays to coincide with each release. |

Hehe thanks to everybody who added here (you, Spy,...) Would you believe me if I said I wasn't aiming for it... I said ok let's do some covers of "This boy" it only has 2... but some where on tribute albums so by the time I added all This Boys I had 1001 and I noticed She Loves Me only needed one more for 10+ so I added another crazy one (worth checking out: Ted Chippington) |

60 covers to go... ^^ I guess it's getting a lil harder now? If everybody here that doesn't speak English would add the translations that were made in his country, we would be there |

Thanks, Drpepperfan. Musically the songs haven't changed, they were just spiced up versions in stereo... plus it's loads of work to add them all :P |

Drpepperfan said on Wednesday, 30 June 2010:
Although they were remastered, I don't think that their is enough of a difference between the original and the remastered songs to warrant an entry on the site. |

I usually go to add one sample/cover and end up adding every thing that Wikipedia lists... I sometimes add other songs by the same artist. I added all Elton John 'Sorry Seems To Be' covers and got sidetracked at Leona Lewis. |

DJ Anubis said on Tuesday, 25 May 2010:
Believe me, we've all been there... ah the lovely feeling of getting sidetracked... or linking a song, and then hearing samples in the original, linking that one, and hearing more samples in THAT original... like you say: until you totally forgot where you started :) Nothing more fun in musicdiscovery ;) Only problem is: some things come back to me in bed: "aah damn I wanted to link a track to Run-DMC" but which one was it... oh wait it had that other sample of X in it" *back out of bed* :D |

tick said on Tuesday, 25 May 2010:
hehe i tend to go for one artist and then find all their samples, but then you come across a song that you know is sampled somewhere else and go off on a wild good chase, and then another tangent, and after a while you forget what artist you were originally doing! Like researching things on wiki, you forget what you actually came to look up :) |
