Glad you asked. I submitted Freeway's Ni99as in Africa so here's the difference. While Freeway (and everybody else) just does their own thing over the beat, Mos Def's song is nearly a "line for line" adaptation of the Jay-Z song. I compared the lyrics while submitting this so that's why I submitted it as a remake of the song. It's much like a parody (without the funny). |
