Does anyone know why the black and yellow sample of Michael Sembello's maniac song was rejected? the hook/riff baseline sounds identical to each other

Ok well I started it:

The forum is definatley the best place to start for this idea. As Anubis said.. If enough people jump on board with it, we can consider it. It takes a long time for these types of developments though and personally I would rather see the reasources spent on getting film submissions allowed and the phone App released.

DJ Anubis said on Friday, 24 February 2012:
I think the idea got mentioned before and the reply was "if there's enough ppl interested in it". At that time I wasnt, but I'm starting to get on board about it. There's loads of cover art that "samples" The Beatles, and seen so much more other funny references, but it'll be a pain to find em again. Personally I think the Forum might be a good place for it, unless the Staff is up for an expansion about this :)

That would be a great idea for a DIFFERENT site. The focus here is on the actual music and there is so much more to be done in that area that we haven't touched on yet.

If you like we could start a thread in the General forum and see how many we could find.

I have one already running that featured music videos based on movies.

it's an interesting idea, but would that really be whosampled territory or whoreferenced territory

WORD, give a shoutout to the moderators!
That section would create such an immersive experience -- plus a new interface too... damn just imagining the best site on the web

@@WorldlyWhiteGuy - Had to look that up. You're absolutely right.

Fact: The album cover for Kush & OJ is a direct sample of David Ruffin's 'Gentleman Ruffin' album
